Summer in March

A week in SoCal is never enough. After all that sunshine, catching up with old friends, and too much good food (carne asada fries, I miss you), it’s back to reality. Going from 90-degree heat to 45-degrees and raining was rough, but it’s nice to get back into the usual routine – and not get thirsty when I look out the window.

After not living in LA and San Diego for a few years, I totally don’t feel like a local anymore – there are so many new places that have popped up! Since when did Glendale and Pasadena get so hip? At the same time, being back on campus was like entering a time warp. It was totally weird and felt like stepping into a blanket of memories. Is this what getting old feels like?
